QuickPen Lawsuit
Dan Bittinger and Highlands Construction Software LLC was the subject of legal action brought by QuickPen in November of 2006. The court case continued for over a year.
This action has been made public through various internet outlets, however the result of the action is not apparent. The people who publish legal actions in various blogs seem to like to report legal actions, but not positive endings. It has become necessary for Highlands to reassure its customers and prospective customers that Highlands will not be put out of business.
The legal case has been dismissed with prejudice.
This is the statement that we are authorized to make in terms of the outcome.
The dispute between QuickPen and Highlands and Dan Bittinger has been resolved amicably. The resolution does not limit any party's right and ability to compete in the marketplace and the parties will continue to vigorously compete against each other.
We would personally like to thank our Attorney, Kurt Lewis, for his dedication and ability in defending Highlands and Dan Bittinger. He is a fair and honest person, not just an attorney.
